hello!

we are looking for a couple to rent the beautiful master bedroom in our mt tabor craftsman. the room is available now.

this huge (15'x17') room has hardwood floors, tons of natural light from a skylight and east and south facing windows. there is also a sun nook (4'x5') and a walk in closet (6'x8'). the pictures don't really do it justice, you've got to see it.

about us: we are four twenty/thirty somethings who love sharing this great house. we're the sort of people who might have messy rooms, but who keep the common spaces clean for everyone to use. we believe in honest conversations and don't believe in drama or passive/aggressive note leaving. we have our own lives and interests, but like to get together for occasional beers in the backyard, bbqs, or board game nights.

about the house: 5 bedroom, 2 bath, 2700 sq ft craftsman home on the lower slopes of mt tabor. the house features: original hardwood floors, leaded glass windows, built-ins, a fire place and a wood stove, a gas range, new dishwasher, high efficiency washer & dryer, covered front porch with swing, rose garden, vegetable garden & raised beds, two patios in a spacious backyard, a wine cellar, a workshop, and more storage space then we know what to do with. coming soon: a chicken coop to supply fresh eggs!

about the neighborhood: walking distance to montavilla, mt tabor, and two grocery stores (fred meyer, qfc.) accessible by transit (the #20 or a short walk to the i-84 max). just off the davis bike boulevard. easy access to burnside/i-84 for car commuters. a short drive/bike ride to the hollywood district, hawthorne, belmont, division, laurelhurst park and more.

the rules: (from our landlord): the house is non-smoking (of any kind) and no cats or dogs.

the details: rent for the master bedroom is 968+ utilities which average $30-$90 per person/per month depending on the season. utilities include the fastest wifi centurylink will sell us, and a small house fund which pays for common necessaries (cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc. . .). in addition to the regular utilities, we pay a water/sewer bill which arrives quarterly and runs about $20/person/month.

we would ultimately need first/last months rent and a small security deposit, but can easily work out a payment schedule if the lump sum is an issue.
