Additional Information
looking for a place to live?

how about an airy and bright room in a 3 bed/2 bath townhouse one block from the braddock road metro (yellow/blue), easy walking distance to the great shops, restaurants, and bars of old town alexandria, and a very reasonable rent of just $1,025?

the room:
it's a good size room that easily fits a queen size bed, side table, two bookshelves, and has two large built in closets (great for one work, one casual) that both have rails, space for a short dresser, and shelving above for storage.

the house:
it's a town house in old town, so we're not talking about a mansion (!) but other than your room, there's a good size downstairs that's a living/dining room and decent sized kitchen with storage, pantry, and a large back patio area with a grill and chairs/table. you'll also have an entire floor plan of basement that is great for storage, working out, or even a putting a desk.

the roommates:
you'll be taking over sharing a house with two of my good friends -- great guys in their early 30s that are easy going and more than happy to hang out and share food, watch tv, play games, or just let you chill. they're the type of guys who'll ask whether you need something as they head out the door to the store (or even text), ask how you're doing when you get in at night, and see whether you want to join them at a happy hour, and of course see if you want to hang and grill out.

the details:
the room is available right now (and despite the pics below, is fully empty and ready to move into)! the rent is $1025/month plus utilities which are fairly reasonable ($100-$150/month in high cold/heat seasons, which includes wifi, cable, and all heat/electric). street parking is easy and you can get a city decal for approx. $25. deposit is around $820 and the application fee is $50. you'd be taking over a lease that runs until next may, however, we've always cycled people in and out without issue -- one of the roommates has been in the house for 7 years!
